Planning board meeting cancelled pending solar-siting legal guidance; Dryden Fiber work and Town Hall bid opening scheduled

Councilmember Michele Brown reported that the April Planning Board meeting was cancelled and that the board is awaiting answers from the town attorney on questions about a solar-siting law. Brown identified legal guidance as a prerequisite before the Planning Board proceeds on that topic.
Councilmember Tim Murray reported that Nan Stolzenberg provided extensive training to the Review Board on subdivision reviews. Supervisor Mark Witmer said potential future Planner Board projects include a road protection law, an intentional review of subdivision patterns and attention to data centers. Witmer also provided an infrastructure update: Dryden Fiber materials are arriving, crews are installing poles around town and construction on the fiber hut is expected to begin in June. He noted the Friends of the Trail event on April 25 had a good turnout and that the Town Hall bid opening is scheduled for May 21, with Bero to make a recommendation.
