Under the amendment, employees and elected officials who meet Medicare eligibility and take town health insurance will be enrolled in the town’s Medicare Supplement Plan, but must subscribe to Medicare Part B and are responsible for the Part B premium and any premium contribution for the supplement as specified in the handbook or by future Town Board resolution. The minutes note this is separate from retiree Medicare coverage for the Town Highway Superintendent.
