Huachuca City officials voted unanimously Jan. 8 to approve repairs to the town's Caterpillar D6 dozer in the approximate amount of $47,282.63.
Manager Suzanne Harvey presented the request and staff member Michael Fox explained the work, saying "these repairs are needed to keep the machine running." The council moved and approved the repair authorization without dissent.
The money is intended to cover part replacements and labor identified during routine maintenance checks; the council did not specify a new funding source during the meeting. No amendments or solicitations for alternate vendors were discussed. The authorization was recorded as a formal motion and approved by voice vote.
