Wabasso board accepts retirements and resignations, approves hires and spring coaches list

The board also accepted the resignation of Emily Captain as Cross Country Head Coach and the resignation of Michelle Fenger from the part‑time Little Rabbit Care Supervisor role (motions carried unanimously).
The board accepted the retirement resignation of Jenny Eichten as an elementary teacher effective May 27, 2025, and approved severance payments according to the Wabasso Education Association contract (motion by Tom Carlson, seconded by Robyn Hillesheim). The board approved Kristine Martius as Little Rabbit Care Supervisor (7:45–11:45 a.m., with the remainder of the day as previously hired professional time) and granted a Family Medical Leave Act request from Gail Prokosch for March 6 through May 23, 2025.
On athletics, the board approved the 2025 spring coaches list (motion by Mary Haberman, seconded by Travis Welch). The motion carried on a roll call with Kimberly Frank recorded as abstaining and Dave Eis absent.
