Parks staff outline Waymark Park, restroom and dog-park improvements

Parks staff (Heath) briefed the council on several park projects. Heath said the Waymark Park contract is in a hold status until final details are set and reported plans for a new restroom at the shelter house and accessible sidewalks connecting a new playground. "We're kind of in a hold right now... once that happens, we will start our work," Heath said.
Heath also proposed concrete pads and turnarounds at the dog-park trail entrances to deter vehicles, and said the town will present a Chicago contract at the next meeting. Council members responded favorably to the proposals and thanked staff for the updates.
