The ISD 640 Board approved changes to the 2024–25 school calendar and adopted the 2025–26 district calendar at its Feb. 24 meeting.
Kimberly Frank moved (seconded by Mary Haberman) to change two professional learning dates this spring for CAREIALL Read Act training to Wednesday, April 16 and Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Training will run from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; the district will operate on a 2‑hour late start on those dates, buses will run two hours later than normal, and students may arrive at 7:45 a.m. and remain in supervised areas until classes begin. The motion carried unanimously.
Separately, the board approved the 2025–26 District School Day Calendar (motion by Tom Carlson, seconded by Mary Haberman) to include the CAREIALL two‑hour late start dates and to add quarter mid‑term dates. Both calendar actions were approved without objection.
