The Paulsboro Borough Council voted to approve a Letter of Need for Pine Ventures LLC to support the company's application to the New Jersey Affordable Housing Program for tax credits. Administrator Marino told council the project — described as "Senior Housing approx. 43 units" at Block 93 Lots 3, 7, 17, 18 & 19 (common addresses noted in the minutes) — intends to apply for credits by August 2026; council approved the request as Resolution 26.107.
Solicitor Maley advised the council that approving a Letter of Need does not limit the borough from supporting other projects if circumstances change; council members approved the motion with one member absent. The approval places the borough on record as supporting Pine Ventures' application for tax‑credit consideration. Further site plan review, permitting and funding approvals remain subject to planning board review and state award decisions.
