Mayor Morse described a proposed community cleanup program and said staff is exploring whether the city can reimburse dump fees; City Attorney Alan Peake advised on what steps would be required and the council asked staff to return with more details rather than take action.
Council Member Crump noted that the local VFW may stop hosting Night with Santa in coming years and suggested the city consider taking on the event. Administrator Eric Ziegler reported an RFP awarded for the Sewer Ponds Fencing Project contained errors and will be reissued for bid; he also said a rat at City Hall had been caught. Mayor Morse reported Caltrans removed a sidewalk at Hazelton St. and Hwy 166 and does not plan to replace it. He provided an update on the city's Pumptrack project: work is scheduled to begin Nov. 18, 2024. Council took no immediate action on the cleanup or event items.
