The St John Town Plan Commission reviewed a final plat submission for 'Dancing Waters,' a one‑lot subdivision proposed behind 8575 Wicker Avenue. Staff told the commission the petitioner was not present and that engineer comments remain outstanding; the commission characterized the item as ministerial so long as the final plat matches the previously approved preliminary plat.
Planning staff said engineer John Dykstra had provided minor comments by email and the applicant is waiting to submit a revised plat. "Final plat is a ministerial item," staff said, adding that the commission can move the item to a public hearing if the final plat is substantially consistent with earlier approvals. Commissioners asked whether the item needed to be tabled or could proceed and were told the petitioner should appear at the final plat public hearing in two weeks.
No formal motion or vote on the plat occurred at the study session. The next procedural step is submission of the revised plat to staff and placement on the public hearing agenda once engineering review is complete.
