A Visit representative reported on April lodging performance and prospects for group business following large spring events.
"RevPAR was up 32.4%" the speaker said, adding that straight revenue for the month was up about 30.9% and that year‑to‑date RevPAR has increased 6% with revenue up 5.5%. He tied the gains to the Final Four, media attention and several conventions that brought customers and RFPs to the city.
The speaker noted Visit teams see a strong pipeline for the remainder of the year, highlighted the Marriott Exchange and other hosted customers and singled out the upcoming ASAE convention as a major opportunity. Board members asked no follow‑up questions and thanked him for the report.
