Board discusses reserve accounts, tax-cap options and circulates draft budget goals

A committee speaker (speaker 2) said the finance group had not met formally but had completed additional fact-finding and requested information from district staff to prepare for the upcoming budget season. "We didn't meet, but, we did have some additional, fact finding that we were doing," the speaker said.
The chair praised the reserve-account report prepared by Stephanie and the team for clearly outlining target amounts and purposes. The chair said a rough draft of budget goals has been circulated and requested that the audit/finance committee review the goals first; a fuller, public discussion is planned for December. Board members discussed how different tax-cap scenarios would affect options in the budget process.
