Elementary report highlights Veterans Day ceremony, student council and new mentoring program

The presenter also reported ongoing one-on-one reading assessments to guide individualized instruction, the activation of an elementary student council and a classroom 'post office' activity that encourages authentic writing. The Big Blue/Little Blue mentoring program launched this week and pairs over 70 high-school students with elementary students for after-school programming aimed at building peer connections and a sense of belonging.
