The McKinney Urban Transit District board approved revisions to its bylaws that add a formal withdrawal process and tighten attendance expectations. Staff, working with the district attorney, proposed that a participating city must provide 90 days' notice before the end of the budget year to withdraw and that directors must give 24-hour notice if they cannot attend. The proposed changes also allow the board to consider resignation, recommitment, or replacement if a director misses two or more consecutive meetings.
"They must provide a 90 day notice, before the end of the budget year in order to do that," staff said when describing the withdrawal provision. A motion to approve the amendments was made and seconded, and the board voted to adopt the changes.
