"CARES funding is expected to be exhausted in 4 years at our current rate," Tucker said, and outlined options: discontinue the program when funds are exhausted; stretch CARES funding to eight years by reducing reliance; or continue the program and fill the funding gap with member-city contributions. Tucker said staff is also pursuing one-time funding opportunities and private partnerships but asked only for feedback, not action, at this meeting.
