Aqua plant staff described a series of changes undertaken after earlier resident complaints about noise and debris at the local water treatment plant. The plant manager said the company worked with vendors to avoid chemical deliveries before 10 a.m.; the manager also asked silo vendors to change unloading techniques to reduce loud banging noises and said the company is transporting empty chemical barrels off‑site so they are no longer visible near the plant.
The manager added the company had removed a tree and undertaken landscaping and cleanup at the plant, hired a landscaper for beautification work, and would continue to watch deliveries and staging. "We've instructed them to have their delivery...so that it doesn't compact as much," the plant staff said. Committee members thanked the company for the improvements and said they've received fewer resident complaints since the changes. Aqua also reported that a contractor temporarily removed dredging equipment from a quarry pond for an emergency in Southern Illinois and that equipment has now been returned to monitor water levels.
