The Marion County Community Corrections Advisory Board on Thursday approved a juvenile community corrections grant amendment that reallocates $4,800 to a services line for electronic monitoring fees and $500 from fringe benefits to personnel to cover a payroll shortage.
Haley Elsie, the presenter, told the board, “I'm just requesting $4,800 key transfer from series 300 services category to cover electronic monitoring fees… and then to transfer $500 from 500 series fringes to 100 series personnel, just due to payroll.” Board members asked whether the $500 request was accurate and why the transfer required board approval; Elsie said transfers between those character lines must be requested for approval.
Chair Carla Duffy called for a motion; a board member moved and a second was made. The board approved the transfer by voice vote. The board did not provide a roll-call tally; members voiced their assent. The board’s action directs staff to implement the line-item changes in the JCC budget and document the amendment.
