Tara Parchman, Marion County Public Health finance director, told trustees that the proposal ‘‘represents fee increases for certain services that we provide, which includes dental so that we can provide crowns to our adult patients that we see,’’ and that the department is also updating immunization fees to reflect new vaccines and higher costs. The ordinance text was read for first introduction by the corporation’s general counsel and listed in board materials. No member of the public signed up to speak on the ordinance during this meeting.
If approved after the public hearing, the ordinance would change fees for specific clinic services and immunizations; staff said the public hearing will allow the board and community to review the detailed fee list in the board book. The board did not vote on the ordinance at this meeting; trustees were directed to the July 28 meeting for the public hearing and subsequent action.
