The board approved a task order with Burgess and Bridal (BNN) for construction management services on the 2026 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) pavement maintenance project for an amount not to exceed $230,000. Christian Cameron, project manager of capital projects, said the scope includes project controls, daily inspection, materials testing and change management, and that the cost is included in the locally funded project budget.
"This task order totals ... up to $230,000," Cameron said. He explained the 2026 work focuses on the red line (including areas that overlap with the purple line) and that a separate pavement asset-management plan will guide future maintenance cycles for the purple and blue lines in later years.
Board members asked about the maintenance cycle and whether the work represents recurring upkeep; staff replied an asset-management plan and future planning will address that, and the board voted to approve the task order by roll call.
