Presenter Mr Worthy told the board the 2008 plan was "kind of vague" and that the update aims to "modernize the plan so it sought after initiatives from citizens and council instead of just being so vague." He said the update adds administrative processes, clear program definitions and stricter oversight guidelines meant to improve transparency and stewardship of the reforestation fund. The board recorded a 7-0 vote to recommend the change and will send its resolution to City Council for final action.
