Staff described an intergovernmental agreement to allow 809 Brock Road — a single unincorporated parcel in the Wellington/Wellington Heights area — to connect to Joliet's water distribution system. The property owner, Dan Scott, approached Joliet seeking water service; because the parcel falls in Shorewood's planning area under a boundary agreement, Joliet required Shorewood approval to permit the connection.
“Joliet approved this IGA on September 2,” staff said. The resolution specifies the owner must disconnect from Joliet's system at the owner's expense if Shorewood later installs water main and incorporates the area into village service. The board moved, seconded and approved the IGA.
