Andrea Strand, a resident at 12095 30th Ave, told the Village of Lake Hallie Planning Commission she was frustrated about not receiving notice of the Auto Zone approval for a commercial development next to her home. "expressed her frustration with not receiving notice of the Auto Zone approval." The comment was made during the public comment portion of the Dec. 8 meeting.
Doug Clary (Chippewa County Zoning) explained that notices are not required when a development is authorized within a commercial zone, and the commission briefly discussed whether adjacent residential property owners should be notified in such cases. The exchange prompted a procedural discussion but no formal action or change to notice rules during the meeting.
