Board approves FY24 audit; treasurer notes annual report publication and subscription review

President Richard Samples presented the Fiscal Year 2024 audit, which had been reviewed at the Oct. 17 Committee of the Whole. Trustee J.W. Coleman moved to approve the audit and Trustee Steve Retzer seconded; a roll-call vote approved the audit as presented.
Acting Village Clerk/Treasurer Mindy Olson told the board the village's annual report was published in the Jacksonville Journal Courier as required by state rules and explained that a negative amount shown in the report was attributable to the Water and Sewer fund. Olson also said she is working with Sikich to pursue a municipal discount for Microsoft subscriptions used by the village.
