South Jacksonville plans demolition of 1515 S. Main; 901 Coronado sale due to close

President Richard Samples told the Committee of the Whole on Oct. 17 that the village has a demolition quote from Rawlings Excavating for the house at 1515 S. Main Street that came in under $20,000.
"The quote was under $20,000.00," Samples said as he summarized discussions with Superintendent Brian English and the excavating contractor. Samples also advised trustees that the closing on property at 901 Coronado was scheduled for the next day; following closing the village will solicit bids for that demolition.
No formal motions or votes on demolition were recorded at the meeting; trustees were informed of the quotes and the bid plan so staff could proceed with the procurement process after the sale closes.
