The Village Board approved a recommendation to enter into a contract with Deconstruction Incorporated for Rebuild Illinois roadwork phase 2 (ITB 26-053) for a total not-to-exceed amount of $927,625.25. Staff said the project uses leftover state grant funds from an earlier phase and that the money must be expended by the end of the year or be returned to the state.
A trustee moved the recommendation and the motion was seconded; the clerk called the roll and recorded unanimous 'Aye' votes. Staff described the contract as a straightforward use of grant funds to perform additional road resurfacing throughout the community and said the work follows a successful phase 1 that left grant balance available for this work.
