City to advance RTP grant process for Wheel Beautiful, mayor to be authorized to accept award

"We've actually attended the financial workshop, which was a prerequisite to getting started on the RTP grant for Wheel Beautiful. The next step will be the resolution authorizing the mayor to accept the grant award and the to DNR, and that starts the process," Chris said. The briefing did not include a dollar amount or grant timeline; council members asked no substantive questions at that time.
If adopted in a subsequent meeting, the resolution will allow staff to execute the grant acceptance and coordinate with state agencies for required reviews and any matching or reporting obligations. The council did not take a vote on the grant in the work session; the matter will return as a formal agenda item for decision.
