Board hears updates from Glen Cove Education Foundation and FAME; arts opportunities planned

"Alexa and I met with the Glen Cove Education Foundation this past week, and we had a very productive meeting with lots of ideas exchanged," Venuto said.
The superintendent added that FAME is working on its full fundraiser in October, is discussing honoree nomination procedures and is collaborating with staff (including Mr. Norris) to bring opera singer Julia Ernst back for a high-school master class and potentially organize student visits to an opera dress rehearsal at Yale. The board described these as positive arts-education opportunities for students and asked for updates as plans firm up.
