Wabasso board approves teacher, coach and summer hires for 2025

For the 2025–2026 school year, the board approved hiring Joshua Kuehn as a Reading Act Teacher at a salary of $54,500.00 and hiring Daniel Junker at a salary of $44,342.00 plus any increase negotiated in upcoming Wabasso Education Association (WEA) contract negotiations. The board also approved summer painting hires—Michelle Nichols at $13.00 per hour and Jennifer Haven at $12.75 per hour—for up to a combined 200 hours, and authorized summer student custodial help: Avery Eis, Drew Kemp and Cason Olson at $11.00 per hour for a combined total of up to 1,000 hours between June 2 and August 8, 2025. All motions carried unanimously.
