Board approves minutes and bill list, hears routine reports

The South Chicago Heights Board of Trustees began its Feb. 17 meeting with procedural actions that included appointing Trustee John Ross to preside in the mayor’s absence and approving the Feb. 2 regular and Committee of the Whole meeting minutes. Trustee Tracy Bosco and Trustee Marrufo moved the two sets of minutes and both motions passed on roll-call votes recorded as 6–0.
Trustee Ross presented the bill list for Feb. 17; Trustee Bosco moved and Trustee Rose Ann Diederich seconded approval, which the board adopted 6–0. The minutes record no public comment. Trustees also heard departmental reports from the fire and public-works departments and received an annual public-works report distributed by Director Mark Martin (the report was apologized for arriving late to the packet).
