Officials announce limited reductions from level 3 to level 2 in some areas

"I'm here to announce that there will be some shifts, some minor shifts to our evacuation zones today. Some level 3 areas will be reduced to level 2," the official said, adding that the area affected is not large and that weather and fire conditions could reverse those changes. The official said any further reductions will depend on containment and improved fire behavior.
The official urged residents to monitor county updates and warned that if incoming weather produces wind-driven fire behavior, previously reduced zones could be expanded again. Officials said they will reassess after the weekend weather event and pivot if forecasts change.
