The Mark West Union School District Board of Trustees elected Trustee Sara Azat to serve as Board President for 2025 and approved Trustee Brian Burke as Board Clerk during the district's annual organizational meeting on Dec. 17, 2024. Both nominations carried unanimously: the president vote (moved by Trustee Brian Burke, seconded by Trustee Aaron Smith) and the clerk vote (moved by Trustee Sara Azat, seconded by Trustee Victor McKnight) were recorded as Aye=5, Nay=0, Abstention=0, Absent=0.
