Rock Nobles Community Corrections proposed a two-stall garage with storage and bathroom space to be built on the northeast portion of the Prairie Justice Center property. The department will fund the construction; once complete the county will acknowledge the building as a $376,245.00 county asset and include it on insurance and asset inventories. Commissioner Justin Ahlers moved to acknowledge the project; Commissioner Robert S. Demuth seconded the motion and the board approved it.
The project was bid according to statute and staff noted that bidding and bonding requirements were met; the minutes attach an explanation of charges in the packet. The minutes record acknowledgement only — the department will fund construction and the county will accept the asset into its inventory upon completion.
