Huachuca City shifts first budget work session to June 18

Huachuca City officials approved an adjusted budget adoption calendar that shifts the first budget work session from June 11 to June 18. Town Manager Suzanne Harvey recommended the change because June 11 is already scheduled as a regular Council meeting.
Harvey told the council the one-date change would avoid schedule conflicts and allow the work session to focus on budget items. "The only change I suggest to the calendar is to move the first work session from June 11, 2026 to June 18, 2026 because the 11th is a regular Council Meeting," Harvey said. Councilmember Johann Wallace moved the calendar and Mayor Pro Tem Christy Hirshberg seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The calendar adjustment was presented during the council's review of new business and is intended to preserve meeting time for substantive budget discussion. Council did not attach other changes to the schedule at the time of the vote.
