The Ludlow Select Board recognized dispatcher Mark Martell’s retirement after 23 years of service to the police, fire and ambulance departments. Mark Martell, who started on July 4, 2003, retired July 11, 2026; he was unable to attend the meeting and Chief Warfle presented plaques to his wife, Margot Martell.
Chief Warfle and other attendees praised Martell’s dedication. "He will be missed," Chief Warfle said during the presentation. Attendees gave a standing ovation and the board offered thanks for his long service.
