Estes told commissioners that "Right now, the city of Astoria has a, a housing grant, that they'll be working on to do their housing capacity analysis," required under Goal 10 and recent legislative changes. Estes warned that housing law changes at the legislature have left many local codes out of date and that jurisdictions across Oregon will need to update their code language to conform to state requirements. He urged early coordination with DLCD and noted voluntary periodic review and grant assistance are available.
