Hosler said he grew up in Northwest Ohio, attended Sylvania Northview High School and studied political science and public health in college. "It's an honor to be on the StodCast," he said, and he described a path that included internships with the Ohio School Boards Association and roles in higher education and school finance. He credited outgoing treasurer Beth McCaffrey for mentoring local treasurers and helping him learn technical budgeting and forecasting techniques.
Hosler said he had served most recently as assistant treasurer in Kenton and that Berkshire's community reputation and involvement drew him to the district. "I'm very, grateful to have this opportunity that the board's given me," he said, adding he looks forward to building relationships with students, families and staff.
