Board recognizes student achievements; student reps report on district events

The Windsor Locks Board of Education used part of its Nov. 18 meeting to acknowledge student achievements across the district. Superintendent Shawn Parkhurst recognized recipients of Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents Certificates of Excellence, WLHS athletes who earned NCCC All-Conference honors, WLMS Lion’s Club art-poster winners, and WLMS cross-country accomplishments.
Student representatives Abby Guyette and Ayla Roman gave an oral report on ongoing student events and activities in the district. The board recorded the recognitions in its minutes and offered congratulations to the students and staff involved.
