Board approves FY27 capital requests, tables football field and track to Dec. 11

The Windsor Locks Board reviewed FY27 capital requests and took a mixed set of actions at the Nov. 18 special meeting. Superintendent Shawn Parkhurst presented three 'buckets' of capital requests. After discussion, the board tabled the WLHS football field and track project to the Dec. 11, 2025 meeting for further consideration and possible state approvals; that project awaits action by the State Bonding Commission.
Separately, the board approved the FY27 non-technology capital items and, in a separate motion, the FY27 technology capital items; both motions passed 4–0. The board recorded that the football field and track remain under further review and will return to the board agenda on Dec. 11, 2025.
