Board elects Alba Osorio chair, Greg Guyette vice chair

Alba Osorio was elected chair of the Windsor Locks Board of Education at a special meeting on Nov. 18, 2025. The board conducted a nomination and paper-ballot process after Superintendent Shawn Parkhurst opened the meeting; the ballots were read and the result was 4–0 in favor of Osorio.
Following Osorio’s election, she called for nominations for vice chair. Amber Mortensen-Hurdle nominated Greg Guyette; paper ballots again produced a 4–0 result, making Guyette vice chair. The leadership votes were recorded with four members present and one member, Dennis Gragnolati, absent. The board noted upcoming leadership responsibilities, including attendance at the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) convention.
