Carvers Bay students tell board FBLA transformed their leadership, networking opportunities

Students Zahira Warren and Caleb Porter presented to the board about their experience representing Carvers Bay Early College and Career High School at the FBLA National Leadership Conference. Warren, who identified herself as the South Carolina FBLA state president, thanked the board, superintendent and advisors, saying FBLA had "transformed my life" by building leadership and communication skills.
The students described networking opportunities, community service collaborations with organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association and Grand Strand Down Syndrome Society, and a graduating member's college-level connection. District leaders thanked the students and their advisors for representing Georgetown County at the national event.
