Mayor Safford told the council that the next meeting will include three public hearings: the public hearing on Local Law Number 3 of 2024 (an amendment to Chapter 231 on Water and Sewers), an ordinance to amend Chapter 61 (alcoholic beverages — see separate item), and the first of two public hearings on the 2025 Capital Budget and Capital Programs. She said the Local Law has been open for several meetings and will be closed at the next hearing. Residents will have an opportunity to speak the following evening.
The mayor also flagged that the capital budget vote is scheduled for a later date and that one staff presentation (a proclamation for Harvey Fox's 42 years of service) will be part of the next session. She encouraged anyone who wished to speak on these items to attend the public hearing.
