The Seneca Falls Town Board voted to establish a committee to supervise the town's Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPs) funding and related infrastructure work. The resolution, introduced by the Chair, specified membership as the town supervisor or a designee, the highway superintendent, the director of public works and the senior account clerk and passed by voice vote.
The committee is intended to manage repair and improvement projects financed through CHIPs and to coordinate property and infrastructure maintenance. The Chair said the committee will ensure proper oversight of the program as funds are allocated; board members offered no substantive amendment. The motion was seconded and carried.
