The Waterloo Board approved a slate of personnel actions as part of its June consent agenda. The superintendent recommended retirements including Pete Negron, teacher, effective Dec. 1, 2026 after 30 years of service, and Tim Fox, transportation supervisor mechanic effective June 30, 2026 after nine years; the board approved the retirements by roll call.
The board also approved resignations and recommended one-year limited contracts for multiple classroom and support hires contingent upon state and district eligibility rules. Motions approved extended days for select staff (operations manager up to 15 days, IT director up to 10 days, counselors up to 5/4 days) and authorized extended-school-year (ESY) services at $30 per hour for students whose IEPs require them. The motions passed by roll call.
