EMS and police staff gave monthly activity reports, outlining call volumes, staffing changes and new equipment.
EMS representative (speaker 9) reported roughly 72 service calls last month with distribution across service areas and said two new EMTs have completed validation and are being released to run as second providers. The EMS speaker said the "thermic flight car" was implemented Oct. 1 and has provided ALS-level care on multiple calls. On technology, EMS noted an upcoming webinar to work on CAD import and an expected bill from PSP for ESO tax-system work.
Police staff reported 332 calls for their month with 81 citations and 18 warnings, and said they received a taser grant for seven devices that have been received and inventoried. The police also requested a key-fob access system for the evidence room, which the board subsequently approved.
