Assistant Superintendent David MacLeod told the Board the 2025‑26 revision reflects surrounding districts' calendars and the state testing window. He listed the key 2025‑26 dates: "Teachers return on Wednesday, August 13, 2025" and students return on Aug. 20, 2025, with the school year ending June 11, 2026. Member Dustin Burns moved approval of the revised calendar; the motion passed 5‑0.
The Board also approved the proposed 2026‑27 calendar outline, which includes students returning Aug. 19, 2026; parent conferences Nov. 16–20 (modified days); fall break Nov. 23–27; winter break Dec. 21–Jan. 1; and school year end on June 9, 2027. Member Dianne El‑Hajj moved approval; the motion passed unanimously.
