4H Livestock Council says it urgently needs a treasurer before fair

Tobi Purple, speaking for the 4H Livestock Council, told the Manistee County Fair Board on May 18 that preparations for livestock events at the fair are in place but the council is short-staffed on finance duties. "She also stated that they are in desperate need of a Treasurer for the Livestock Council," Purple said during group updates.
Purple said the council has a work bee scheduled for June and raised questions about how finances are handled with MSU Extension's 4H program. Board members did not take formal action but noted the need to recruit a volunteer treasurer and to clarify the financial relationship with MSU Extension.
