The Manistee County Blacker Airport Authority voted May 18 to authorize a license permitting Dewlicious Farms to maintain an existing highway sign on airport property north of River Road and east of US-31. The license runs for five years and permits the licensee to maintain the sign and seek Airport approval to remove vegetation that interferes with visibility from US-31.
The agreement specifies an annual license fee of Six Hundred Dollars ($600), payable beginning Aug. 1, 2026, for a five-year term. The license includes standard conditions allowing the airport to terminate for cause and requires the licensee to indemnify the airport for claims arising from the sign's erection, maintenance or removal. The board authorized the Airport Director to execute the license on behalf of the Authority.
