County Clerk Shelli Johnson presented requests to replace two pieces of aging equipment in the Clerk's office: a Widmer T2E electric embosser quoted at $6,424.00 and a Widmer T-LED-3 electronic time and date stamper quoted at $1,148.00. Ms. Johnson said both units are more than a decade old and that repeated repairs have left the machines unreliable, interrupting clerk operations tied to concealed pistol license processing and other records work.
The committee approved the purchases to be paid from the CPL Fund. The motion to buy the embosser (Moved by Jeffrey Dontz, seconded by Richard Schmidt) and to buy the time/date stamper (Moved by Richard Schmidt, seconded by Jeffrey Dontz) were each recorded as "Ayes: All." The packet includes vendor quotes and device specifications (Appendix F).
