Staff reported they expect to post a request for proposals for an arts-and-culture consultant within the next month and asked whether the Cultural Assets Committee or a steering group should lead selection and engagement. The consultant would verify and update the city's cultural-asset inventory, lead public outreach and visioning sessions, and recommend implementation steps and policies.
"It'll probably be done, you know, over this next month. And then typically, you give respondents a month to, prepare, you know, their, proposal," Anne (staff) said, laying out the expected timeline; she added that a subcommittee would review proposals at the staff level and help recommend a consultant for commission consideration.
