Principals highlight Neurodiversity Week, local events and STEM course proposal; NYS ELA tests set for April 8–9

Principal K. Loftus reported that the district is observing Neurodiversity Awareness Week with a themed spirit week: Autism Acceptance Day, Terrific Minds Tuesday, Winning Wednesday, Togetherness Thursday ("Many Bees, One Hive"), and Feel Good Friday. Loftus also noted recent events: March Math Madness, a fifth-grade 'Alien Museum,' and that New York State ELA testing is scheduled for next week.
Principal P. Hazard described a proposed project-based STEM Science half-credit course for grades 9–12 to run every other day, Career Day scheduled April 10, and a draft master schedule that includes middle school schedule changes for next year. Director of Technology J. Back confirmed the NYS 3–8 ELA testing on April 8–9 will be computer-based and that finalizing Regents/assessment schedules is underway.
