Brown presented a mid‑year update at the Feb. 13 meeting detailing district efforts to align curriculum maps with New York State standards, expand assessments that drive instruction and intervention, and support teachers through instructional coaching cycles and professional development.
Brown reported there are currently 100 students with disabilities in grades K–12. The district is working to build consistency among CSE chairs, provide training on testing accommodations, and support the Director of Technology and Assessment on goals related to the Instructional Technology Plan, data security and NYS testing preparations.
